There are many misconceptions or myths when it comes to understanding migraine headaches. One myth is that a migraine is not serious. In reality, migraines can be very serious, even life threatening. In some cases migraines can lead to stroke, aneurysm, permanent visual loss, severe dental problems, coma and even death. Understanding migraines and their triggers can be helpful in dealing with them.1
