Midwifery

Midwifery is the practice of delivering babies or of assisting women in childbirth. In the past, midwives holds a position of great respect and honor in a community, assisting women in normal and abnormal situations of childbirth. Today, midwifery has two divisions nurse-midwives and direct-entry midwives. Both are educated in midwifery the one difference is that nurse-midwives has an added study of the nursing process.
