Mystery surrounds the June 25, 2009 death of pop superstar Michael Jackson. Although the initial autopsy reports were inconclusive and toxicology reports aren't expected for six to eight weeks, many insiders feel that the star's reported addiction to pain killers such as Demerol and OxyContin played a role in his untimely death. Jackson reportedly received a Demerol injection shortly before his death, but his personal physician denies administering or prescribing either of the painkillers to Jackson.1

  • Jackson reportedly began using pain killers after an accident while shooting a Pepsi commercial in 1984.2
  • Jackson also reportedly suffered two broken vertebra in a rehersal accident in 1993.2
