Research Notes on Michael Jackson and Dr. Conrad Murray


Houston-based physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, was entertainer Michael Jackson's personal physician. On June 25, 2009, paramedics that were called to the home of Jackson found Murray performing CPR on the entertainer.1 Jackson was transported to UCLA Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.2 In the days following Jackson's death, questions have surrounded Murray's possible role in his death.1 On July 22nd, Murray's Houston clinic was raided by DEA agents.3 Law enforcement told ABC News that they had obtained a search warrant for the office based on Jackson's preliminary autopsy results.3

  • Murray's attorney has denied reports that his client administered narcotics to Jackson.4
  • Reportedly, Murray accompanied emergency personnel to the hospital with Jackson, but did not sign his death certificate.2
  • Several news sources have alleged that Murray did not call for help until thirty minutes after he found Jackson unresponsive in his home.2
  • Although Murray spoke with police in the days following Jackson's death, he has reportedly declined a third interview through his attorney.5
