Entertainer Michael Jackson's plastic surgeries were the source of speculation for years before his death in 2009. Jackson admitted to having rhinoplasty surgery.1 Despite speculation about Jackson's progressively lighter skin tone, his doctor, Dr. Arnold Klein, insists that Jackson never did anything to change his skin color.2 Jackson said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey that he suffered from vitiligo.2 Dr. Klein says that Jackson was forced to use creams to attempt to even out his skin tone because of the effects of the skin disorder.2
Fast Facts:
- Surgeons have alleged that they either performed or were aware of several surgeries on Jackson's face including cheek implants and eyelid surgery.1
- Dr. Klein says that in the months leading to Jackson's death, he had successfully helped to repair the effects of bad plastic surgery.2
- Although no actual proof has been presented, several people have alleged that Jackson was having 10 to 12 procedures performed a year.2
