Research Notes on Methamphetamine Side Effects
There are many side effects of methamphetamine use. Methamphetamine abuse can destroy the body's tissue and blood vessels making it harder for the body to repair itself. Acne and sores appear and the skin loses its elasticity and luster. Teeth grinding, poor oral hygeine and poor diet cause the teeth to decay. Other side effects of methamphetamine use include lowered resistance to illness, liver damage, convulsions, extreme rise in body temperature; causing brain damage, increased heart rate and death.1

- Some users are covered in small sores, the result of obsessive skin-picking due to the hallucination of having bugs crawling beneath the skin1
