Research Notes on Cantaloupe
Cantaloupe is rich in vitamin A (in the form of beta-carotene) and vitamin C, as well as being a good source of potassium, fiber, vitamin B6, folate, and vitamin B3 (niacin). The antioxidants in cantaloupe may help fight emphysema and macular degeneration. Choose ripe melons for the highest nutrients; chilled, cut melon retains its high nutritional value for up to six days.
