Research Notes on Mannosidosis
Mannosidosis is a rare inherited disorder. It is a disorder of the metabolism system; in which the body is not able to break down certain sugars. Large amounts of these sugars are then built up in the tissues, body cells and urine which then interferes with development. There are 2 different types of Mannosidosis; Alpha and Beta. Alpha and beta are found in separate gene locations but have similar effects.
