Malnutrition is often the result of a poor diet lacking in essesntial nutrients and protein. Malnutrition can also be the result of poor absorption of critical nutrients. It is most common in developing nations and poorer communities of the world. Eating more food alone does not prevent malnurishment. One must also be careful to eat the correct calories, minerals and nutrients needed to get back to optimal health.
