MDX-1100, a new rheumatoid arthritis therapy using human antibodies, has shown promise while used in combination with methotrexate a common rheumatoid arthritis medication.1 Patients showed a 20 percent improvement of their rheumatoid arthritis symptoms at 12 weeks which met the primary objective of Medarex's study.1 The next step in the clinical trial involves collecting data on the physiological action of MDX-1100.1 Medarex, the company who produces MDX-1100, stressed the significance of the findings and its implications on future treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.
