The Infectious Diseases Society of America agreed to reassess the national guidelines for diagnosing and treating Lyme disease. The current guidelines state that lyme disease can be treated in 30 days with oral antibiotics. Critics do not agree with this, saying Lyme disease is difficult to diagnose and can last for years.
