There are several steps you can take that may help prevent low back pain. Exercises that will strengthen your lower back muscles should be incorporated into your daily routine.1 Avoid lifting heavy objects and always lift from a squatting position. Never bend over and lift an object. Make sure that you have correct posture, and maintain a healthy weight.2
