Low-Density Lipoprotein commonly known as LDL is a lipoprotein that carries cholesterol in the blood and around the body, for use by cells. It is considered the "bad cholesterol". High levels of LDL can be a sign of Heart disease. A healthy LDL level is less than 100 mg/dL.
