Loteprednol is the generic of the brand Lotemax1 and belongs to the group of medicines known as corticosteroids.2 It is used to treat inflammation or redness of the eye, which may occur with certain eye problems or after eye surgery.2 It is also used to temporarily treat the symptoms seasonal allergy eye and conjunctivitis.
