Research Notes on Lorraine Bracco and Depression
Lorraine Bracco, most famous for her role in The Sopranos, admittedly suffers from depression. She believes her depression began sometime between the filming of Goodfellas and landing The Sopranos role. Her life at that time wasn't great, but she believed she would eventually get over it. In 1997 she began seeing a psychiatrist and taking an anti-depressant. She began working with Pfizer Inc. on a website and campaign called "Why Live with Depression?"™ to encourage people with depression to seek help. She is no longer on her medication and is doing much better.
