Limbic system ADD or limbic ADHD is one of the six types of ADHD according to Dr. Daniel Amen. Limbic system ADHD occurs when the limbic area of the brain is affected.1 This type of ADHD combines the usual symptoms with depression.2 This type of ADHD has other symptoms as well. These include inattentiveness, low energy, feelings of worthlessness, and a very negative outlook. Most times people who have limbic system ADHD have very low self-esteem.3
