Research Notes on Lavender
Lavender has been used in a medicinal setting for many years, including being used during World War I to disinfect the floors and walls of hospitals.1 It has been used as a flavoring agent in some medications, and was once considered a stomach soothing condiment.2 The essential oil of lavender has been used to ease toothache pain, relieve fatigue when mixed in bath water, and even calm an aching head when applied to the temples.2

- Is recommended to help with insomnia, acne, candidiasis, and hair loss.4
