Research Notes on Lattice Dystrophy
Lattice dystrophy is a hereditary eye condition that is characterized by cloudiness of the cornea due to lattice-like amyloid deposits or abnormal protein fibers. It typically occurs in children between the ages of two and seven. Its symptoms include blurred vision, eye pain, and blinking pain. Treatment may range from eye drops (to control pain) to corneal transplant for more severe scarring.
