Research Notes on Lap Band
The LAP-BAND® is an adjustable gastric banding where through laparoscopic surgery, an inflatable silicone prosthetic device is placed around the top part of the stomach to help obese patients lose weight. LAP-BAND® is a brand name, and much of the information available is sponsored by those promoting the procedure.
