Research Notes on Lactose Intolerance
Lactose intolerance describes the inability to digest significant amounts of lactose, aka milk sugar. Caused by a shortage of the enzyme lactase, the condition is hard to diagnose. Millions are lactose intolerant. Dietary restrictions are a common treatment for the condition which has no known cure.
