Lactobacillus Acidophilus


Lactobacillus acidophilus is a type of probiotic. A probiotic is a dietary supplement that contains potentially beneficial bacteria or yeasts. Multiple human studies have shown that L. acidophilus vaginal suppositories are effective for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis. Unclear scientific evidence has shown a possible benefit of using L. acidophilus for the treatment of diarrhea, high cholesterol , irritable bowel syndrome and lactose intolerance, among others.
