Research Notes on Kindler Syndrome
Kindler syndrome is a rare congenital disease of the skin that usually presents itself within the first year of life. Young children are likely to blister with minor trauma and are prone to sunburns.1
Fast Facts:
- Symptoms tend to lessen as the individual ages.1
- May be difficult to differentiate from variants of epidermolysis bullosa in newborns. 2
- More than 100 cases have been reported worldwide.2
