Research Notes on Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis Symptoms

Juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (JRA) symptoms may vary depending on the type of JRA.1 Persistent joint swelling, pain, and stiffness are the most common symptoms with all types of JRA. This is typically worse in the morning or after a nap. Depending on the type of JRA, other symptoms may include fever, loss of appetite, weight loss, anemia, swelling of the lymph nodes, eye inflammation, or a blotchy rash on the arms and legs.2

Fast Facts:

  • Limping in the morning may be one of the earlier signs of possible JRA.2
