Research Notes on Isometrics
Isometric exercise, also called isometrics, is a type of strengthening exercise that involves contracting the muscles without moving the joint. It is very useful when joint movements are painful or limited. Isometrics should be performed with caution since it may increase heart rate and blood pressure.
