The World Health Organization stated on August 6, 2009, that all procedures used to speed approvals of the new swine flu vaccines do not reduce it's safety. They have previously stated that this outbreak of the swine flu is the fastest growing pandemic ever and may affect around two billion people worldwide. Flu vaccine makers include Novartis, Baxter, Solvay, and GlaxoSmithKline.1
