Interferon alfa 2a is a protein naturally produced by the body to help fight infection.1 If you suffer from hepatitis C, Kaposi's sarcoma, or hairy cell leukemia, your physician may prescribe Interferon alfa 2a as treatment.1 It is administered to help prevent viruses or tumors from growing in the body.2
