Insomnia in children has the same symptoms as it does in adults, and is defined by difficulty falling and/or staying asleep. During the day, children may be irritable, depressed, aggressive, or have problems with memory. The most common cause of insomnia in children is too late of a bedtime, causing children not to get enough sleep.1
