Research Notes on Influenza Causes
The flu is caused by three types (strains) of viruses — influenza A, B and C. Mode of transmission is through air and in droplet form. These droplets can be inhaled directly, or can be can picked up from an object, such as a telephone or computer keyboard and then transferred to the nose and mouth.
