Research Notes on Infection After Knee Replacement
The most serious complication of knee replacement is infection. However, it occurs only in less than 2% of the patients. Symptoms such as fever, chills, sudden worsening of pain at the site of joint replacement, redness, and swelling are manifestations of infection.
