Research Notes on Infant Eczema
Eczema is a chronic skin condition characterized by dryness, itchiness, and recurring skin rash due to hypersensitivity. This skin condition affects infants as well as older children and adults. The initial onset of symptoms usually occurs between two and six months of age or until the child reaches the age of five. It is difficult for young children to have eczema because of the itchiness and blistering it causes. Protect the baby's skin by applying moisturizers and by keeping it clean. In most cases, the eczema disappears as the child grows older.
