Research Notes on Indigo Naturalis
Indigo naturalis is a plant based, dark blue powder used in traditional Chinese medicine. A new study published in 2008 found that an ointment made with indigo naturalis can be effective in treating skin plaques associated with psoriasis. None of the people who finished the study experienced any worsening of their psoriasis while using the indigo naturalis ointment, while 74% of the participants had their skin plaques almost completely cleared.1
