Research Notes on Hypertelorism
Hypertelorism is a physical condition in which there is an abnormally excessive distance between two organs, usually the eyes. Often it is associated with other syndromes, such as Craniosynostosis, Apert Syndrome and Crouzon's Syndrome. Correction is usually performed at around three and five years of age if possible, after a certain amount of development of the mid-facial and orbital bones.
