Research Notes on Hydromorphone and Pregnancy
Hydromorphone use in pregnancy should be avoided. It may be harmful to the unborn baby. It can also cause addiction or withdrawal symptoms in a newborn. Be sure to tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant before taking hydromorphone.1
