ADHD can be treated a number of ways. Medications such as Ritalin, Adderall, and Dexedrine are often prescribed to treat the symptoms of ADHD. Also, counseling and therapy are often beneficial in treatment.1

- While there is little evidence to prove that alternative treatment methods work, they are becoming increasingly popular in treating ADHD.2
- Some medications have been fatal in children with heart disease.2
- Lifestyle changes, such as getting adequate sleep, exercising, and consuming a healthy diet may help reduce symptoms of ADHD.2
