Joint stiffness is a common symptom of rheumatoid arthritis and other types of arthritis.1 Many simple preventative techniques are useful, including ensuring plenty of rest, daily low impact exercise, and physical therapy.2 Other preventative techniques include using moist heat on the joints, taking NSAIDs or DMARDs, and performing stretches.3
