Pain, fatigue, and limited mobility are the common causes of problems in the workplace for individuals who are diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).1 Informing your employer about your medical condition, visiting an occupational therapist (OT), and knowing personal limitations are ways to cope with RA and work.2 RA is an autoimmune disorder that affects approximately one percent of Americans.3

- The Arthritis Foundation suggests maintaining a positive attitude, creating an efficient working environment, reducing work hours, readjusting positions frequently, setting priority for tasks, and maintaining a schedule.4
