Research Notes on How is Diabetes Diagnosed
Diabetes is diagnosed by a number of different tests along with a physical exam by your doctor. These tests may include a glucose tolerance test, fasting plasma glucose test, or a casual plasma glucose test. Millions of people are not aware they are diabetic as they have no warning signs.1

- There are three main types of diabetes: diabetes type 1, diabetes type 2, and gestational diabetes.2
- Symptoms of diabetes may include frequent urination, thirst, hunger, weight loss, fatigue, and blurred vision.3
