Hospice care is the provision end-of-life care to terminally ill patients to help them live as comfortably as possible. Assisted living facilities (ALF) provide services to individuals with certain limitations live independently with the necessary assistance. It serves as a transition from independent living to nursing home life. ALF residents who require hospice care may avail of the services while remaining in the facility. Hospice agency staff can schedule service visits and train facility staff to provide the necessary hospice care required by the resident in between visits. This service is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
