Research Notes on Homemade Hair Treatments
Beautiful healthy hair need not cost a fortune. Many hair treatments can be made at home quickly and applied immediately. Common ingredients include vinegar, mayonaise, lemons and oils. With a few simple food items, you can create your own conditioners, hair rinses, deep moisturizing treatments and even perhaps create some subtle highlights!
Fast Facts:
- To get rid of dandruff, pour vinegar on the hair and massage into scalp. Wash and condition hair after a few minutes. Repeat daily until dandruff is gone.1
- Warmed olive oil can act in the same manner as a hot oil treatment.2
- Lemon juice can help to lighten hair.3
