Research Notes on High Blood Pressure and Garlic
Research has shown that garlic may be as effective as some medications used to treat mild high blood pressure.1 The use of garlic works to widen arteries which makes it easier for blood to flow.1 This results in a decrease in blood pressure. By helping to lower blood pressure, garlic also works towards preventing heart disease.2
