Research Notes on Hemophilia Type A
Hemophilia A is a blood clotting disorder caused by a mutation of the factor VIII gene, leading to a deficiency in Factor VIII. Hemophilia A is the most common type of hemophilia, affecting about 1 in every 500 males born in the United States. Hemophilia A may be categorized as mild, moderate, or severe.1
