Heat Intolerance

Research Notes on Heat Intolerance

Heat Intolerance is the physiologic inability of the body to cope with changes in the temperature, particularly heat. Causes are usually associated with caffeine, use of amphetamine drugs, Thyrotoxicosis, or menopause. The condition can easily be managed by temperature regulation by using exhaust fans and other cooling devices. Drinking plenty of water can help quench thirst. Persistence of heat intolerance needs immediate medical attention.
