Research Notes on HealthPartners, Inc.
Founded in 1957, HealthPartners provides health care services, insurance and administrative assistance, medical research and medical education. HealthPartners employees physicians, dentists and other medical staff in 70 locations, not just in the Twin Cities. Their reach extands as far east as western Wisconsin, and as far north as Duluth, Minnesota, on Lake Superior.1 Their main hospital is Regions Hospital, in St. Paul, although they are partners with North Memorial Medical Center, Mercy Hospital, located in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minnesota's Children's Hospital, and Westfields Hospital, located in New Richmond, Wisconsin.2
