Open Head Injury

GuideWisdom™

This WisdomCard managed by: Tara Salamone

There are two different types of head injury; an open (penetrating)head injury, and a closed head injury. An open head injury occurs when an object breaks the skull and enters the brain. This is usually due to high speed impact- such as a gunshot wound or going through the windshield during a car accident.
