Research Notes on Haldol Overdose
As with all medications, it is possible to overdose on Haldol, and the overdose symptoms are likely to vary from person to person, based on many factors. Some symptoms of a Haldol overdose can include tremors, hypotension, drowsiness, coma, rigid muscles, arrhythmia, and difficulty breathing. It is probable that treatment for a Haldol overdose will also differ from patient to patient. If the overdose was recent, treatment may include pumping the stomach. Otherwise, treatment will be supportive in nature, since there is no effective way to quickly remove Haldol from the body once it is in the blood stream.1
