Research Notes on HPV Test


Contrary to popular belief, the human papillomavirus test is different from a regular Pap smear. The HPV test checks for the 13 strains of HPV that are considered high risk, and is recommended for women 30 and over at the same time they get their Pap smears. At this point in time, there is no HPV test for males.
