Research Notes on Groin Pull
The groin (adductor) muscle group is comprised of six muscles crossing the pelvis and the thigh bone.1 A groin pull or groin strain refers to a tear on these muscles caused by too much stress or contraction.2This is quite painful and can be classified into three grades according to severity of the tear. It is usually related to various factors such as hip muscle strength, pre-season conditioning, and previous injury. Thus, proper conditioning is important to prevent strain on these muscles.1
