Research Notes on Granuloma Annulare
Granuloma annulare is a chronic skin disease that most often affects children and young adults. It consists of a rash with reddish bumps that generally are arranged in a circle or ring. It is slightly more common in females, and is sometimes associated with diabetes or thyroid disease. The cause is unknown.

- Symptoms of granuloma annulare are mild itching and reddish or skin-colored bumps.
- In most cases, no treatment is medically needed and dermotologists advise that the disease can appear and disappear throughout the course of a lifetime.
- Granuloma annulare is usually found on the skin of the hands and around joints but can appear anywhere on the body.
