Research Notes on Golden Rod
Golden Rod (also known as blue mountain tea, goldenrod and sweet goldenrod) is one of the most highly regarded herbal medicines available for treating urinary tract infections and disorders.1 It is also helpful in removing kidney and gallbladder stones.1 Although it is native to Europe and Asia, some species can be found on the North American continent.1
Fast Facts:
- Also used to treat arthritis, allergies, common colds and flu, laryngitis and sore throat.2
- The leaves and flowers can be used to make a clothing dye.3
- Tea made from the leaves is used to treat exhaustion and fatigue.4
