Research Notes on Glucophage Uses
Glucophage is used in the treatment of type 2 diabetes in those 10 years and older. Off label uses include the treatment of gestational diabetes, polycystic ovarian syndrome, and HIV lipodystrophy. Glucophage is less likely to cause low blood sugar than most diabetes medications.1
